Samenvatting

Een schokkende gebeurtenis, zoals een aanrijding, voltrekt zich in een flits, maar herinneren we ons alsof de tijd op de rem trapte. Wat een fractie van een seconde was, lijkt minuten te hebben geduurd. Filmregisseurs kennen dit verschijnsel en gebruiken slow motion om een gebeuren extra emotionele kracht te geven: na de bominslag verstomt het geluid en zie je de getroffenen in wolken van stof hun trage vlucht door de ruimte maken.
