Samenvatting

Vroegtijdige zaadlozing gaat gepaard met het gevoel van onvoldoende controle en persoonlijk lijden. De behandeling bestaat in eerste instantie uit voorlichting en niet-medicamenteuze adviezen. Verder kunnen SSRI’s off-label worden voorgeschreven om de intravaginale ejaculatie latentietijd (IELT) te verlengen. Huidig onderzoek laat zien dat SSRI’s daarnaast ook een positief effect hebben op onder andere ervaren klachten, tevredenheid en gevoel van controle.
