Samenvatting

Valangst vergroot het risico om daadwerkelijk te vallen. Ouderen met valangst raken ook makkelijker in een sociaal isolement doordat ze minder activiteiten ondernemen. Een medicamenteuze aanpak is niet aangewezen. De behandeling berust op het vergroten van de eigen balans en het vertrouwen daarin.
