Is snijden in een melanoom schadelijk?

Samenvatting

Een melanoom is potentieel gevaarlijk en wordt bij voorkeur met spoed verwijderd (excisie met marge). Soms wil de huisarts echter eerst meer informatie hebben over een verdachte huidafwijking, bijvoorbeeld bij een patiënt die niet (meer) naar het ziekenhuis wil of omdat de huidafwijking op een zichtbare plek zit. Een biopt kan dan uitkomst bieden, maar zorgt ook voor contaminatie van het omliggende weefsel. De auteurs van deze CAT gingen na hoe schadelijk snijden in een melanoom eigenlijk is.
