Samenvatting

De differentiaaldiagnose van donkergekleurde urine is breed. Als de urinestick bloed aantoont, kan dat wijzen op hematurie, hemoglobinurie of myoglobinurie. Een urinesediment kan dit onderscheid maken, maar wordt in de huisartsenpraktijk nog maar zelden uitgevoerd. De huisarts zal dus moeten handelen op basis van de eigen bevindingen en bedacht moeten zijn op alarmsymptomen, zoals colakleurige urine
