Samenvatting

Rosacea is een chronische huidaandoening met erytheem, teleangiëctastieën en papulopustels, meestal in het centrale deel van het gelaat, die in de regel na het 30e levensjaar optreedt en met remmissies en exacerbaties verloopt. Redenen om de huisarts te consulteren zijn doorgaans cosmetische bezwaren, klachten over branderige pijn en vragen over het beloop. De herziene NHG-Behandelrichtlijn Rosacea geeft aanbevelingen over de diagnostiek en het beleid bij volwassenen met rosacea.
