Samenvatting

De NHG-Standaard Verdachte huidafwijkingen bevat aanbevelingen voor de diagnostiek en behandeling van de meest voorkomende benigne en (pre)maligne huidafwijkingen. Daarbij is histologisch onderzoek van biopten van groot belang. Het afzien of uitstellen van histologisch onderzoek kan tot onverwachte diagnoses leiden, met soms verstrekkende gevolgen voor de patiënt. Adequate toepassing van de NHG-Standaard is daarom aan te raden.
