Hypnotherapie bij het prikkelbaredarmsyndroom

Samenvatting

De kwaliteit van leven van patiënten met het prikkelbaredarmsyndroom (PDS) is vaak slecht. Medicijnen helpen maar in beperkte mate en daarom worden ook psychologische behandelingen ingezet. Hypnotherapie blijkt een effectieve behandeling, die bij patiënten uit de eerste en tweede lijn vooral effect heeft op de perceptie van de PDS-klachten. Praktijkondersteuners kunnen deze behandeling heel goed uitvoeren, wat ook nog eens kosten bespaart.
