Lichttherapie niet alleen voor winterdepressie

Samenvatting

Lichttherapie is een reguliere behandeling van winterdepressie. De laatste jaren is er ook veel onderzoek gedaan naar de effecten van lichttherapie bij diverse andere stemmingsstoornissen. Deze CAT laat zien dat lichttherapie ook bij niet-seizoensgebonden depressie effectief kan zijn en veilig kan worden toegepast. Het bewijs daarvoor is weliswaar beperkt, maar de bijwerkingen zijn mild. Daarom is lichttherapie bij depressie in elk geval te overwegen.
