Samenvatting
Een te hoog cholesterol is een grote risicofactor voor hart- en vaatziekten. Lipidenverlagende medicatie verlaagt dat risico maar meer dan de helft van de patiënten behaalt de behandeldoelen niet, bijvoorbeeld door verminderde therapietrouw. De auteurs van een Cochrane-review gingen daarom na wat het effect is van interventies om therapietrouw te bevorderen. Sommige interventies blijken effectief te zijn, al is het bewijs daarvoor niet waterdicht.
