Samenvatting

Lichen sclerosus is een chronische huidaandoening van de geslachtsorganen die vooral voorkomt bij vrouwen van 50 tot 70 jaar. De belangrijkste klacht is jeuk, maar de plekken kunnen zich ook ontwikkelen tot huidkanker. Nieuw onderzoek schept duidelijkheid over het beloop van lichen sclerosus.
