Samenvatting

Bijna de helft van de randomised controlled trials in de chirurgie wordt voortijdig gestaakt, of de uitkomsten van de RCT’s worden niet gepubliceerd. Dit lijkt zonde van het geld, en schept onduidelijkheid over de representativiteit van het gepubliceerde onderzoek. Zou het met het huisartsgeneeskundige onderzoek beter gesteld zijn?
