Samenvatting

Het beloop van COPD is positief te beïnvloeden als de diagnose tijdig wordt gesteld. Toch duurt dit in de huisartsenpraktijk vaak enige tijd. Brits onderzoek suggereert dat de mogelijkheid om de diagnose te stellen in de vijf jaar voor de daadwerkelijke diagnose bij 85% van de patiënten werd gemist. Welke gegevens zouden de huisarts kunnen helpen COPD sneller te diagnosticeren?
