Er is geen duidelijk bewijs voor gunstige effecten van extra vitaminen en mineralen op de gezondheid. Dat blijkt uit een drietal artikelen in de Annals of Internal Medicine. Hoogste tijd om de geldkraan voor dit soort onderzoek dicht te draaien.
