Vitamine D tegen COPD-aanval?

Abstract

Patiënten met een chronische ziekte zoals kanker, cardiovasculaire aandoeningen of diabetes hebben vaker een laag vitamine D-gehalte in vergelijking met gezonde personen. Ook een aanzienlijk deel van de patiënten met ernstige COPD heeft een vitamine D-tekort. Het is niet bekend of suppleren van vitamine D bijdraagt aan het voorkomen van exacerbaties.
