Tracheale drukmeting bij het gebruik van een spreekklepje

Samenvatting

Bij beademde patiënten met een tracheotomie kan in de ontwenfase een spreekklepje ofwel one-way valve (OWV) geplaatst worden. Aan het gebruik van een OWV zijn echter gevaren verbonden. Zo kan onvoldoende expiratoire luchtpassage vanwege obstructie over het traject langs de tracheacanule de oorzaak zijn van toename van ademarbeid. Met dit artikel willen we aandacht vragen voor tracheale expiratoire drukmeting, om zo de toename van ademarbeid direct te herkennen.
