Comfort op de ic meetbaar?

Veel patiënten ervaren tijdens hun opname op de ic hevige pijn.1,2,3 Uit literatuur blijkt dat 75 procent van de gesedeerde patiënten hevige pijn heeft ondervonden, waarbij 80 procent van de verpleegkundigen aangaf adequate analgesie te hebben toegediend.4 De vraag is: hoe kan de comfortmeting bij de ic-patiënt – door verpleegkundigen – beter aansluiten op de daadwerkelijke beleving van de patiënt?
