Samenvatting

Op het consultatiebureau (CB) worden kinderen in de eerste vier jaren van hun leven gevolgd door de arts en de verpleegkundige. Er wordt op diverse aandoeningen gescreend door middel van lichamelijk onderzoek en aanvullend onderzoek. Preventie van ziekte is een ander belangrijk aspect van de zorg door het CB. Dit vindt plaats door middel van vaccinaties en voorlichting. De groei van het kind wordt bijgehouden en er wordt advies gegeven ten aanzien van voeding. Ook wordt de ontwikkeling van het kind gevolgd.
