Oncologische revalidatie

Samenvatting

In 2011 is de multidisciplinaire richtlijn Oncologische revalidatie verschenen. Deze beschrijft de revalidatiezorg van volwassen patiënten met kanker, zowel tijdens als na afloop van de curatieve of palliatieve behandeling. De richtlijn gaat in op de prevalentie van klachten ten gevolge van de kanker(behandeling), de signalering van deze klachten en verwijzing, het intakeproces voorafgaand aan oncologische revalidatie, de interventies en evaluaties binnen oncologische revalidatie, en het belang van patient empowerment.

Tot de doelgroep van de richtlijn behoren alle professionals die zorg verlenen aan patiënten met kanker. Het gaat dan om zorgverleners die betrokken zijn bij het signaleren van klachten en verwijzen naar oncologische revalidatie (zoals medisch specialisten, huisartsen en verpleegkundigen) en zorgverleners die betrokken zijn bij de uitvoering van oncologische revalidatie (zoals revalidatieartsen, fysiotherapeuten en psychologen).

De richtlijn heeft als doel dat elke (ex-)kankerpatiënt met (rest)klachten door kanker(behandeling) tijdig en op maat oncologische revalidatie krijgt.
