Als Exportnation hat Deutschland ein großes Interesse an einer langfristig sicheren Rohstoffversorgung. Mit der Rohstoffstrategie hat die Bundesregierung ein kohärentes Handlungskonzept auf den Weg gebracht, das der Situation an den Rohstoffmärkten Rechnung trägt und nun umgesetzt wird. Die Umsetzung erfordert Anstrengungen sowohl von Seiten der Politik als auch der Wirtschaft auf verschiedenen Ebenen: national, europaweit und international.

Raw materials constitute an indispensable basis for industrial production and value creation in Germany. They are a crucial driver of growth and employment. As an export nation, Germany has a strong interest in a secure, long-term supply of raw materials. Through its Raw Materials Strategy, the German federal government has launched a coherent plan of action to address the situation on global commodity markets. Implementing this strategy requires consistent efforts on the part of both government and industry at the national, European and international level.
