Abstract
Excellent colorectal cancer prevention and screening offers are available in Germany, although their implementation should be a great deal more effective. The majority of colorectal cancers and associated mortality could be averted by improved use of the preventive options. Consistent implementation of a well-organized prevention program with regular personal invitations, generally understandable information, low-threshold services, and rigorous evaluation of processes and results is paramount to success. The necessary steps should be implemented in a timely and targeted manner.
