Zusammenfassung

Vor dem Hintergrund der wachsenden Bedeutung der Komplementär- und Alternativmedizin (CAM) gewinnt auch die Frage nach ihrer Definition und damit Abgrenzung von der Schulmedizin an Bedeutung. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden einige Kriterien diskutiert, die ein entsprechender Definitionsversuch berücksichtigen sollte.

Abstract

Within the context of the growing significance of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), the question of its definition and therefore the demarcation from the traditional school of medicine also becomes more important. In the following article some criteria which should take into account when attempting such a definition are discussed.
