Zusammenfassung
Ein 24-jähriger Patient stellte sich mit der Klage über die Unmöglichkeit des Kauens von Speisen auf der linken Seite vor. Klinisch fand sich eine komplexe Fehlbildung des Oberkiefers links mit ansteigender Kauebene, Zahndysplasien sowie eine Zahndurchbruchsstörung mit linksseitig weit offenem Biss. Daraus ergab sich die Diagnose „primary failure of eruption“. In diesem Beitrag werden das Krankheitsbild, das chirurgische Management und der weitere klinische Verlauf beschrieben.
Abstract
A 24-year-old patient presented with complete inability to chew food on the left side of the mouth. Clinical investigation demonstrated a complex malformation of the maxilla with an inclined masticatory surface, tooth dysplasia, and eruption failure, with a wide open bite on the left side. A diagnosis of primary failure of eruption was established. This article presents the clinical picture, surgical management, and further clinical course.
