Abstract
The generation of patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (ps-iPSCs) offers a broad range of applications including human disease modelling, drug screening, bioengineering, or cell therapy. Virus contamination-free cell lines generated under Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP) conditions are of outstanding importance. Here, we demonstrate the feasibility to use an automated high-throughput PCR-based method for detection of human pathogenic viruses, for instance HIV, in ps-iPSCs.
