Mit einer Kombination aus Isotopenmarkierung und Computersimulation lassen sich intrazelluläre Stoffflüsse in Pflanzenzellen quantifizieren. Das überwinden experimenteller, mathematischer und algorithmischer Hürden führt zu detaillierten Flusskarten des zentralen Metabolismus.
Abstract
By a combination of isotope labeling experiments and computer simulations it is possible to quantify intracellular metabolic fluxes in plant cells. Experimental, mathematical and algorithmic obstacles have to be overcome, but this effort will lead to detailed flux maps of central metabolism.
