Abstract

Here we report urinary bladder actinomycosis in an elderly gentleman with past history of long-term catheterisation; he presented with recent onset hematuria and difficulty in micturition. CECT examination revealed smooth circumscribed thickening of urinary bladder wall with presence of blood clots and air locules within the bladder. Cystoscopy showed presence of friable to fibrotic particulate matter filling the bladder lumen. With a clinical suspicion of neoplastic lesion, TURBT and prostate biopsies were submitted for pathology examination that confirmed the presence of actinomycotic colonies.
