A Rare Complication of Pancreatitis — PPP Syndrome (Pancreatitis, Panniculitis, Polyarthritis)

Abstract

PPP syndrome is the concomitant association of pancreatitis, polyarthritis and panniculitis. Exact pathogenesis of the extra pancreatic manifestations is not well understood but is believed to be due to very high levels of circulating pancreatic enzymes. A higher mortality is seen when there is a delay in identifying the underlying pancreatitis.
