Image in Surgery: Ectopic Pancreas

Abstract

Ectopic pancreas is not uncommon. It is often seen as an incidental finding and clinically remains undiagnosed. We report one such incidental jejunal ectopic pancreas, with a separate branch of jejunal blood vessel supplying it and not connected with pancreas any way. Same was histologically confirmed as pancreatic tissue.
