Dr Gun Choi earned his PhD in 2002 from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, where he completed his medical education. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Sadahisa Hijikata Award, bestowed at the 1st World Congress of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery & Techniques in Hawaii.
His main area of interest is neurological surgery.
Dr Choi gave numerous educational sessions and presentations all over the world, notably on percutaneous endoscopic discectomy.
He authored and co-authored a great number of papers all published in specialized journals. He was Programme chairmain of the 2nd World Congress of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery & Techniques, which was held in Las Vegas.
Dr Choi’s current appointments include President of Medical Affair of Wooridul Spine Hospital in Seoul as well as Chief of the endoscopic spinal treatment center.
