Summary
A new name, Dicliptera peguensis R.Kr.Singh, is proposed here as a replacement name for the illegitimate name D. speciosa Kurz, this being a later homonym of D. speciosa Nees & Mart. In addition, two names, D. speciosa Kurz and D. speciosa var. pilosa Kurz, are also lectotypified. The latter name is now considered a synonym of D. kurzii C.B.Clarke.
