The rupture of liver cyst hydatid in portal veins discovered in pre-operative phase: contribution of imagery

Résumé

Le kyste hydatique du foie (KHF) est une parasitose qui sévit à léétat endémique en Tunisie. Nous rapportons léobservation déune patiente âgée de 49 ans admise dans notre service pour un KHF rompu dans les veines portes.

Le diagnostic a été établi en préopératoire sur les données de la radiologie.

La rupture dans le système veineux portal reste une complication exceptionnelle. Céest le premier cas rapporté dans la littérature jusquéà nos jours.

Abstract

Hydatid cyst of liver is a parasitosis of endemic proportions in Tunisia.

The purpose of this report is to describe a case involving portal vein rupture of a hydatid cyst of liver in a 49-year-old patient.

Diagnosis was established in preoperatively phase by ultrasonography and CT-scan.

Portal rupture remains an uncommon complication. This is only the first case reported in the literature up to now.
