This review covers two books addressing the same internationally comparative research project. The reviewed books are the Dutch and Estonian country reports of the research project “the Integration of the European Second Generation, known by its acronym TIES: http://www.tiesproject.eu (accessed May 2, 2011). The TIES may be considered the “baby brother” of the IMISCOE research network (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe), although the funding comes from a different source. This review has three parts; first, a review about the similarities of these books and then, more detailed insights into both books.
