Abstract
In Hong Kong, in accordance with the majority Chinese culture, elderly people live with their children and are cared for by them. Recent social and economic changes in Hong Kong have had an impact on the living arrangements of elderly people and the extent of care available to them. This article discusses the current housing situation of elderly people, the relationship between housing and family care, as well as the effects of various housing policies for the elderly adopted by the Hong Kong government.
