Walter Laqueur is chairman of the International Research Council of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He is the author of numerous books, including The Fin de Siècle and Other Essays, available from Transaction.

Stjepan G. Mestrovic is professor of sociology at Texas A & M University. His most recent books include Genocide After Emotion: The Postemotional Balkan War and Postemotional Society.

Paul Hollander teaches sociology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His books include Soviet and American Society, Political Pilgrims, Anti-Americanism and the forthcoming Decline of Political Will and Belief in the Fall of Soviet Communism.

Joseph A. Scimecca is professor of sociology and chairman of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at George Mason University. His most recent book is, Society and Freedom: An Introduction to Humanist Sociology. He is currently working on a book about good and evil, tentatively titled, The Transcendence of Evil.

Richard Boyd is an instructor in the Social Sciences Collegiate Division at the University of Chicago. He is a former Transaction Fellow and is working on his first book, a study of pluralism.
