Adrian R. Morrison is professor at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania; a fellow of the Center on Neuroscience, Medical Progress, and Society at George Washington University; and president of the World Federation of Sleep Research Societies. He has written numerous articles on the neurological aspects of sleep and on the animal rights movement, and in 1991 he received the Scientific Freedom and Responsibility Award of the American Society for the Advancement of Science.
