Stanley Rothman is Mary Huggins Gamble Professor of Government Emeritus at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and the director of the college’s Center for the Study of Social and Political Change. S. Robert Lichter is director of the Center for Media and Public Affairs at Smith College. Their book, Environmental Cancer: A Political Disease? was published in 1999.
