Authors Versus Editors: A Personal View on Dealing with How Long a Book to Write or Publish

Abstract

This article provides a personal view of the interactions between authors and book editors regarding the possibility of publishing long books. It describes the parties and issues involved and how both can come to practical decisions regarding publication. The advice is based on the author’s own experience in writing and publishing long books.
