Digital Transformation of Education Publishing in China

Abstract

This paper introduces the situation of digital transformation of education publishing in China, including the government’s attention, policy support, internet construction, as well as involvement of internet companies, education publishers, education equipment and software companies, and education training organizations as well as the achievements they have made so far. Meanwhile, by illustrating the digital transformation strategies and practice adopted by China Education Publishing & Media Group, this paper also sheds light on the key projects in elementary education, including www.pepedu.net and www.gopep.cn, PEP e-Campus Live, and PEP e-Schoolbag, as well as projects in higher education, including iCourse, MOOC, www.univs.cn, and Higher Education Institutions Teacher Online Training Center. In the end, this paper puts forward some personal opinions and suggestions for the digital transformation of education publishing in China.
