Abstract
An investigation and elaboration of Peter Baehr’s theory of “unmasking” as expressed in his recent book and article, with additional attention to relevant ideas of Vilfredo Pareto and other theorists whose modus vivendi included the rhetorical and substantive dismantling of oppositional ideas.
