Abstract
Lipoma arborescens is a very uncommon condition of the synovial joints and bursae. Although the etiology is unknown, lipoma arborescens is characterized by hyperplasia of mature fat tissue in the subsynovial layer. The knee joint, especially the suprapatellar pouch, is the most frequent site of involvement. Cases are occasionally reported in the shoulder, elbow, hip and wrist. To the best of authors’ knowledge no case of lipoma arborescens has been reported in children in Indian subcontinent with multiple joint involvement and uveitis.
