Abstract

Ecthyma gangrenosum (EG) is a well recognized cutaneous lesion most commonly associated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteremia. It usually occurs in immunocompromised and critically ill patients. Uncommonly, EG like lesions have also been observed in patients with fungal infections, like Fusarium Candida, Mucor and Aspergillus. We present a case of EG-Like lesion due to Candida albicans, in a 12 day old neonate.
