Abstract
We report a symptomatic case of a papillary fibroelastoma originating from the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve. Transthoracic echocardiography of a 37-year-old man with normal coronary angiogram, revealed a fibroelastoma on the mitral valve. The tumour was successfully removed using a shave excision technique.
