Abstract

The behaviour of short optical pulses in a real system in the presence of periodically distributed dispersion along with nonlinearity influenced by the third-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation associated with linear and nonlinear gain or loss and variable coefficients delivered by the solitary-like solution is investigated. This kind of solution can be solved by considering chirp ansatz, which is intensity-dependent. We can see a high degree of stability for these types of solitary-like solutions after doing some numerical simulation. We also study the frequency chirp and the constraint relations are also reported in this paper.
