In this issue, we have published abstracts from the SIDS 10th International Conference that was held in Portsmouth, UK, from 23rd to 26th June 2008. The meeting was hosted by the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths on behalf of SIDS International and The International Society for the Study and Prevention of Infant Deaths (ISPID). Presentations covered a wide range of areas and disciplines in the field of unexpected infant death including pathophysiology, physiology, genetic and environmental factors, bereavement issues, the care of vulnerable infants, and interagency protocols.
