Abstract
Anejaculatory infertility represents a formidable problem for patients with neurologic disease. Fortunately, there are several options for sperm retrieval and attempted pregnancy with retrieved sperm. For men with spinal cord injury who have failed less-invasive therapies, electroejaculation is an effective method of sperm retrieval that can mean the possibility of fatherhood in this patient population. Patient selection for electroejaculation is key, as not all men with a history of anejaculation should be considered cost-effective candidates for the procedure. A detailed description of the electroejaculation procedure is reviewed herein, with the goal of optimizing results.
