Conclusions
All of these false beliefs may be related to the stigma associated with psychiatry; however, each of them is, in fact, a strong “theory,” independent but networking with the others. Each of these beliefs needs a specific educational campaign or should be addressed during medical studies. Very large studies realized in daily life practice populations with long-term follow-up are badly needed.
