Abstract

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common inherited cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young patients, and an important cause of heart failure symptoms in patients of all ages. This article reviews the role of a number of traditional and advanced imaging techniques that can now be considered in the contemporary evaluation of patients with HCM, with important implications for management strategies.
