Abstract

The object of this article is to review the scientific rationale of fast diagnosis of breast cancer. We also point out the psychological impact of such a device. The establishment of a fast program, of course, not only requires answering certain organizational constraints and techniques but also constitutes an economic and scientific challenge. Does it make it possible to reduce the times of assumption of responsibility of the patients? There exists to date little data on the psychic impact of the fast course, and these data remain discussed. The data concerning the evaluation of the fast course are insufficient to conclude a benefit in terms of reducing the diagnostic and therapeutic delays, and in terms of psychic impact.
