Expériences d’animation de groupes pour les parents d’enfants malades du cancer

Résumé

Dix années d’animation — d’inspiration psychanalytique — de groupes de parents dont un enfant est atteint de cancer permettent de retracer les différents rôles des animateurs psychologues selon qu’ils étaient internes ou externes à l’institution. Parents « experts » et coleaders (coanimateurs du groupe), groupe saturé en lamentations et perdant toute capacité d’élaboration de la pensée, groupe projectif, excluant le psychologue extérieur à l’institution, rôles des pères et des mères : nous abordons, dans cet article, l’expérience subjective des animateurs et leurs techniques d’animation face aux parents confrontés aux fortes vagues émotionnelles qui tournent autour du thème de la mort de leur enfant.

Abstract

Ten years of action — psychoanalytically inspired — by groups of parents with a child suffering from cancer enable the different roles of psychologist facilitators to be traced depending on whether they were internal or external to the institution. “Expert” parents and co-leaders (cofacilitators of the group), a group full of sorrow and losing all ability to develop thoughts, focus group, excluding the psychologist external to the institution, the roles of fathers and mothers: in this article, we tackle the subjective experience of facilitators and their techniques faced with parents confronted with strong emotional waves revolving around the theme of the death of their child.
