Zusammenfassung
Ästhetische Behandlungen kopieren natürliche Verhältnisse. So ist es allgemein akzeptiert, eine der Nachbarregion entsprechende gestippelte Gingiva von 2 mm Breite und 1 mm Dicke um ein Implantat anzustreben. Sichtbare Weichgewebsdefizite nach Zahnverlust spiegeln vor allem die knöchernen Verhältnisse wider, daher ist auch die Evaluation und ggf. Korrektur der Knochenkontur erforderlich für entsprechende Weichgewebsverhältnisse. Initiiert durch die ersten Studien von Brånemark in den 1960er-Jahren stellt die Osseointegration bei den gängigen Implantatsystemen heutzutage kein Problem mehr dar. Vielmehr ist nun ein ästhetisches und funktionelles periimplantäres Weichgewebe in den Fokus gerückt. Um diesen Zielen gerecht zu werden, müssen eine ausreichende Weichgewebsdicke in horizontaler und vertikaler Dimension sowie ein dem Biotyp adäquates Band befestigter Gingiva vorliegen und ein der Zahnform entsprechendes Emergenzprofil ausgeformt sein.
